Hotel for Dogs/Addams Family Values [DVD]
Double bill of family comedies. In 'Hotel for Dogs' (2009) after arriving at a foster home with a 'strictly no pets' policy, 16-year-old Andi (Emma Roberts) and her younger brother Bruce (Jake T. Austin) realise they'll have to find a home for their dog Friday. On a trip downtown, the kids discover an old disused hotel that would be ideal for their needs. When they discover some of the local strays have already made it their home, they decide to take it one step further, turning the hotel into a refuge, and pleasure palace, for every stray mutt they can possibly find. 'Addams Family Values' (1993) sees Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) having a third child. Siblings Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) are jealous, so the doting parents appoint a nanny to keep order. The person chosen is Debbie Jelinsky (Joan Cusack), who quickly catches the eye of Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd). However, it soon become clear that Debbie is in fact a serial killer, only interested in getting her hands on Fester's fortune.
